Newsletter March - April 2019
Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter. In this months news are a roundup of recent events; a look forward to forthcoming events; some ideas to help us stay active and also a reminder of a scheme to make money for the British Heart Foundation.
We have already mentioned this group in connection with the superb effort by Jim Price. Following that superb effort, Pheonix Striders have been in touch to see how our two groups might work together on similar fundraising events in the future. Karen Hurrell will be meeting with here opposite number over the next couple of weeks to see what we might achieve together.
It's also worth repeating again the fact that Phoenix Striders also organize walking events. Exercise is something we all need to take, however little. If you would like more details of the events that the Pheonix Striders offer, check out their website at www.pheonixstriders.org.uk
Raising money for the British Heart Foundation by recycling printer cartridges.
No apologies for mentioning this yet again. The Recycling Factory will make a donation of up to £2 for every inkjet cartridge they can successfully recycle. They can normally recycle original inkjet cartridges for HP, Canon, Brother and Epson. They will not accept damaged cartridges no name refills or laser toner cartridges. Their website is at www.therecyclingfactory.com and their address for recycled cartridges is Freepost RSYA-SZBS-LRTL, The Recycling Factory, Marsh Lane, Boston, PE21 7TX. At our last meeting Bill Tilby offered to collect the cartridges together and make one posting if that helps folk.
